Today I will be sharing with you a GREAT alternative for when your meat cravings kick in, or for something simple you can whip up for the family in no time!
This is one of the first recipes I ever created on my plant-based journey. I made it up on the spot but thought it would be great to share with you too! Even omnivores will love this if you cook it for them, just be sure to use herbs and spices for flavouring.
So let’s get into it!
Easy Meat-Free Nachos

- 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil (I used Cocavo Chilli & Lime)
- 1 tsp Crushed Garlic
- 1 tsp Italian Herbs
- 1 tsp Mexican Fajita Seasoning
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 400g Vegie Delights Savoury Vegie Mince
- 400g Chopped Tomatoes (canned or fresh)
- 400g Chilli Beans
- 300g Corn Chips
- 100g Angel Food Dairy-Free Cheddar
- Fresh Green Herbs For Garnishing
Instructions
- Heat the oil in the pan along with the garlic, herbs and spices, stirring frequently for 1 minute.
- Add the mince, breaking apart with a large spoon as you heat it through.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and chilli beans to the pan, mixing to combine.
- Lay the corn chips out on the plates and top with the mince mixture once fully cooked.
- Top with grated dairy-free cheese and microwave or place in oven to slightly melt.
- Place fresh green herbs in the centre to garnish and SERVE!!!
