I’m a huge fan of falafel kebabs when you go to Turkish takeaway restaurants, but I have never actually made my own. I like meals with as little prep as possible, minimal dishes and something to put on the table FAST!
Most people think healthy eating is this big strenuous thing, but it really can be so simple and easy.
This dish uses the hemp falafel from Morlife which contains chickpeas, hemp protein, chia seeds, onion, garlic, kale, spinach, herbs and spices. Simply mix the powder with equal parts of water then pan-fry or air-fry! What a great way to add flavour, crunch and protein to a dish.

Hemp Falafel Toasted Pita

- 3-4 Tbsp of Morlife Hemp Falafel Mix
- 1 Wholemeal or GF Pita Bread
- 1-2 Tbsp Hummus
- 1 c Salad or Slaw Mix
- 1 Tbsp Mayo (or dressing of your choice like a drizzle of balsamic glaze)
Instructions
- Mix the falafel powder with equal parts water then pan-fry or air-fry.
- Spread the pita bread with a dash of margarine (if desired) and toast.
- Spread the pita with hummus and salad, then add falafel once cooked.
- Top with mayo (I used Vitawerx vegan turmeric mayo).
- I sprinkled with Tuscan seasoning and BBQ cheezoning, but feel free to use herbs, spices and toppings of your choice!
